Friday Update 16.11.18

16th November 2018

Here is our Friday Update.......

  • Aviva Community Fund: Thank you again for your continued support - voting closes next Tuesday and we are still a long way beind some of the other applicants. If you haven't already voted yet - please click here and support our school - Aviva are giving away money which could really help us to develop our Forest School.
  • Children In Need: The children looked wonderful in their spotty and colorful clothes. Thank you to everyone who donated today our grand total is £360.69!
  • Play Equipment: Please can we remind all parents to make sure that your children are not on the play equipment before and after school, whilst it is lovely that they enjoy it and are keen to play on it - it is not supervised at those times.
  • Staff Car Park: Please be mindful when you are dropping off your children for Out of School Club. We would ask that you do not park in the three spaces allocated for Three Bears Playgroup staff and ensure that you do not block other cars in. If you are quickly dropping your child and will only be a couple of minutes you may use the disabled space, however if no other spaces are free we would ask that you park on the road but not on the no parking zones. We will be having new car park markings put in place soon but please be aware that no-one should be parking at the back of the car park next to the shed near the school kitchen as this should be kept clear for Emergencey Access. We appreciate your co-operation with this.
  • Sports: Cedarwood Year 6 mixed Tag Rugby Squad took part in a recent festival at St Joseph’s College. We showed great team spirit, improving in every game and we were delighted when we scored our first try! The children had lots of fun and their behaviour and attitude were exemplary. Well done to the squad. Year 4 mixed Dodgeball squad had a great afternoon at the festival at Inspire Suffolk on Thursday. The games were very fast and competitive and the squad performed really well in their matches. Great team work, attitude, skill at throwing the balls and dodging them! Well done to the squad. A big thank you to all our parents and grandparents for all your support in getting the children to these competitions. Thank you Mrs Bowman & Mrs Canham.
  • Books for Schools: Thank you sending in your vouchers, we are still collecting so please keep sending them to the school office via the school post boxes or pop them in to the box on the Reception desk.
