Friday Update 18-10-19

18th October 2019

Here is our Friday Update.....

  • Flu Immunisations: Please don't forget that the deadline for completing the consent/decline forms for the Flu Vaccinations is Thursday 5th December. If you are unable to find the original letter that was sent by parentmail we have attached it again, once you have opened the attachment please click on the blue link. There has been a rumour circulating that there is a shortage of vaccinations, please do not worry as we have been reassured by the School Vaccination Team that there is no shortage and every eligible child will be able to be immunised against flu.
  • Play Equipment: This is just a reminder that children are not allowed to play on the play equipment before and after school, please could we ask that parents reminder older children who walk themselves to school. Thank you for your co-operation.
  • Lost Property: This will be outside the blue double doors in the big playground after school today.
  • Football: Well done to our Year 6 girls football team for their great performances at last weeks tournament. This was the first time the newly formed team had played together and for some their first experience of a football match. We drew 2, won one and lost one 1-0  in the last few seconds of the game by the team that went on to win the tournament.
  • Area Cross Country Championships: Due to the success of being one of the top 10 runners at the IPSSA Cross Country event at The Royal Hospital School in March, three of our Year 6 pupils were invited to compete in the Area Cross Country Championships alongside Year 7 pupils from local high schools. They competed as part of Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games on Thursday 10th October. We are proud and delighted to announce that Amelie came 20th in her race and progresses to the next round. Matti came 52nd and Joel came 57th which is a fantastic achievement and both narrowly missed out on progressing further. Congratulations to you all. A big thank you to the parents for supporting this wonderful cross country opportunity. Mrs Bowman & Mrs Canham
