Here is our Friday Update..........

  • Coats - As the weather is starting to get colder we would ask that you send your child to school with a coat for play times and lunchtimes.
  • Aviva Community Fund - voting has now closed - we finished on 1908 votes which is fantastic. Thank you to everyone who voted we will update you to let you know if we get through to the next round.
  • Christmas Lunch - letters have now been sent home, please could you return the reply slip by next Friday (30th November) If your child is in years 3,4,5 or 6 please send payment of £2.30 (cash or chque) in with their menu choice. Many thanks.
  • Open Evenings - We are holding two more Open evenings for parents of any children due to start school in September 2019. Tuesday 27th November and Thursday 6th December, both at 6.30pm. Please let your friends know about these events and let us know if you are coming!
  • One more week for Families in Need (FIND) - Next week will be the last week for FIND collections.  We will be by the school gates each morning, alternatively there is also a donation box in school reception area.We can’t thank you enough for all of the generous donations so far,  it’s been great.  All donations are greatly received, you really are going to make a big difference to Families this year. Thank you.
  • Sports - On Thursday 22nd November our Year 6 mixed  Dodgeball Squad participated in the U11 Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. The team played really competitively in their matches. Great spirit and team work was shown whilst dodging the balls and attacking strongly. We won, drew and lost some games but had great fun taking part. Well done to our squad. Thank you to our parents for their support on the day. Mrs Bowman & Mrs Canham.
  • Raffle Tickets – These will now have been sent home with your children.  Thank you very much to those of you who have already sold and returned stubs/ monies.  We really need these to keep coming!  Please try to sell to your family and friends, to help us with what is usually our biggest fundraising element of the Fair.  We must make you aware that by law, tickets must not be sold by or to any persons under the age of 16 – so please don’t let your children sell them nor put their names on the tickets.  Thank you.   We have some fabulous prizes including £100 cash, Afternoon Tea for 2 at Milsoms; 2 course meal for 2 at The Black Tiles; Feb’ ½ term Crash Course Voucher for SwimSure; Street Dance Classes; £20 voucher for Deben Inns; Annual Pass for Jimmy’s Farm; Cupcake Kitchen Voucher; Performance Tickets for Dance East; Pimms; and much more! Please bring ticket stubs and monies to the school office, as well as any tickets you don’t sell.
  • Christmas Fair Volunteers – Many people have come forward to say they can help us; we can’t run an event like this without you, so thank you for getting involved!  We still need more people …. Either from 1:45- 3:15pm, or 3:15- 4:20pm.  If you’d like to help run a stall, please get in touch … email us at pfcedarwood@gmail.com, or sign up on our website; www.pfcedarwood.org.uk, or give Fiona a shout in the playground!
  • Hamper Raffle – Another big fundraiser for us at the Fair …. We don’t sell tickets in advance for this one though, just on the day. This year each class are donating towards a themed hamper for the raffle.  We have Christmas Accessories; Seasonal Favourites; Theatre Treats; Holiday Distractions; For the Host; Stationery; Christmas Eve Goodies; Fireside Treats; Christmas Lunch; Boxing Day; Festive Delights; Christmas Tea Party; New Year’s Eve.  All sorts of goodies going in to these hampers.  Each class has a list, either on the door of their classroom, or for years 4-6 they are on the noticeboard just inside the double blue doors from the playground.  Please seek out these lists and sign up to something to donate.  A few items are perhaps more than you’d consider spending so for these we’ve asked you to team up with a friend and donate together.We need all donations for these hampers to be handed in to your teachers by Friday 30th November  please, as we then put then put them all together.
  • Cakes/ Bakes – Last request!  Please send in any cake donations on Friday 7th December ready to be added in to our Cake Stall at the Fair.  We very much appreciate anything you have to offer whether it’s homemade or shop bought.  Thank you.
