We currently have a vacancy for a Pupil and Family Welfare Lead & DSL.  
We are looking for an individual who is committed to and passionate about the safety and wellbeing of children, to take on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead in our school. The successful candidate will have a professional style and manner and the confidence to deal with outside agencies and families, good inter-personal skills, strong communication skills and be diplomatic, trustworthy and sensitive. They will be committed to inclusion and improving life chances for all children.

 The successful candidate will be expected to:

  •          Be the designated Safeguarding Lead/Child Protection Officer
  •          Lead safeguarding operationally across the school facilitating the protection of health,                     well-being and human rights
  •          Liaise with families
  •          Make referrals to Social Care
  •          Attend multi-agency meetings including Child Protection Conferences
  •          Arrange parent care meetings
  •          Liaise with Attendance officer to further improve attendance
  •          Lead overview of CAFs within the school
  •          Act as the designated professional for LAC
  •          Lead extended services across the school
  •          Deliver safeguarding training for all staff and volunteers
  •          Monitor and track all concerns regarding vulnerable children.
