Children are encouraged to eat and drink at break times. All Key Stage 1 children are provided with either a fruit or vegetable snack at morning break time, so do not have to bring their own snack. Children in Key Stage 2 may purchase a snack prepared by the kitchen – snacks must be booked in advance and full details are sent out each term. Alternatively children in Key Stage 2 may bring their own snack to school but they are only allowed fruit or plain biscuits, which should be separate from their packed lunches. No sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks or drinks with additives are allowed.
Lunchtime is an opportunity for children to relax over a good lunch. Children can have a packed lunch or a school meal. Again no sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks or drinks with additives are allowed.
The quality of the school meals is of a very high standard as well as being very nutritious. Every day there is a choice of:
Two main meals, one of which is a vegetarian, two vegetables, a potato or bread dish, three salads, a hot or cold pudding. Plus fruit, youghurt and biscuits.
We will try to cater for any special diets.
There is also an additional school meal option called Pick and Mix. Please see the latest menu below.
Please click HERE for menus, nutritional information and much more from EATS. Menus are also available from the school office.
We have a number of children in school with severe nut allergies so please make sure packed lunches or snacks do not include peanut butter or nuts. Please check the contents of cereal/muesli bars etc. and do not bring them to school if they contain nuts. Thank you.
