School Meals

Break Times

Children are encouraged to eat and drink at break times. All Key Stage 1 children are provided with either a fruit or vegetable snack at morning break time, so do not have to bring their own snack. Children in Key Stage 2 may purchase a snack prepared by the kitchen – snacks must be booked in advance and full details are sent out each half term. Alternatively children in Key Stage 2 may bring their own snack to school but they are only allowed fruit or plain biscuits, which should be separate from their packed lunches. No sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks or drinks with additives are allowed.

Lunchtime is an opportunity for children to relax over a good lunch. Children can have a packed lunch or a school meal, see choices below. Again no sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks or energy drinks are allowed.  We also ask children not to swap items in their pack lunches with friends, nor touch other children's lunches.

Caterlink provide our school meals, the quality is very high and the meals are nutritious as you will see from our Gold Standard Menu menu. Every day there is a choice of:

Two main meals options (one of which is a vegetarian) with a choice of vegetables, followed by a hot or cold pudding, yoghurt with the option of honey, granola or fruit compote, or fresh fruit

We also offer an additional school meal option, in the form of the 'Potato and Pasta Bar'.  This offers either a jacket potato with a variety of toppings, or a hot pasta option each day.

Fresh salad choices and bread are always available with both options.

If your child has an allergy or food intolerance please speak to the school office who will be happy to refer you to the Head of Kitchen for assistance.

Please see our Gold Menu below and find out more information about Caterlink by viewing their website HERE. Menus are also available from the Parent Information Boards inside the blue double doors or from the reception area.

We have a number of children in school with severe nut allergies so please make sure packed lunches or snacks do not include peanut butter or nuts. Please check the ingredients of cereal/muesli bars etc. and do not bring them to school if they contain nuts - always look for the items in bold writing if you are unsure.  Thank you.
