Yr 6 Girls Football vs Gorseland

7th June 2018

Year 6 Girls Football ⚽️ update:

Wow, what a week it's been for the girls. Starting the week with an away win at Claydon, the team had two consecutive home matches on Wednesday and Thursday.

Wednesday's match was against Rushmere Hall and the girls were full of confidence. They kept control of the game throughout, playing well defensively as well as attacking, meaning the team came away with a 4-0 win!

Today, the girls faced Gorseland. This was a very close match and the girls had to play their best football. It was a fast paced game and Gorseland went 1-0 up fairly early on. Madison equalised not long after, before Gorseland scored another to put them ahead. The girls were determined and a brilliant attacking run from Sky led to a goal from Lola, putting the teams equal again. A Gorseland handball in the area meant that Lola put away a penalty to make it 3-2, before she went on to score another! The game ended 4-2 to Cedarwood!

I have watched some fantastic football this week! ALL of the girls have played brilliantly. I am so proud!
